Privacy policy
How we use information when you ask about tyre work, arrange a service or visit this website.

Who we are
Andy Claxton trades as AC Tyres Dorset. He is a UK sole trader based in Weymouth and is responsible for the customer information described here. The business address supplied by Andy is Gentian Way, Weymouth, DT3 6FF. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] or call 07921 663454.
Information we use
When you contact Andy about tyre fitting, a callout or an order, he may use your name, email address or phone number, vehicle registration or tyre details, the work you need, and your fitting location or postcode. If you request delivery, he also needs the recipient name, delivery address and contact details. He may keep a record of the booking, work carried out, price and payment. For fleet clients, this may include the business name, contact person and invoice details.
For card or bank transfer payments, Andy may receive transaction details or payment confirmation from the card provider or bank. This website does not take payments, collect card numbers or have an online booking form.
When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver and protect it. This may include your IP address, browser details, request time and pages requested.
Why we use it
- Quotes, bookings, fitting and delivery: to respond to your request and provide the service you agree to. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, or performing that contract.
- Payments and business records: to receive payment and keep records required for tax and accounting. The lawful bases are performing the contract and meeting legal obligations.
- Website operation and security: to make the site available and protect it against misuse. The lawful basis is Andy’s legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website.
A contact method, relevant vehicle details and the fitting location are needed to arrange mobile tyre work. A delivery address is needed only if you request delivery. Without those details, Andy may be unable to quote for or provide the requested service.
Who receives information
Andy keeps customer and job records. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and processes visitor technical information. SumUp processes card payments, and banks process bank transfers. Andy may enter your vehicle registration into his tyre supplier’s website to help identify suitable tyres. Registration lookups are not conclusive. If you order delivery, Andy dispatches the parcel himself, and the postal or courier service used receives the recipient name, delivery address and any contact details needed to deliver it. We do not sell your details or share them with third-party marketing companies.
Cloudflare may process website information outside the UK. Its data processing addendum describes the safeguards for restricted UK transfers, including the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses where applicable. Call Andy if you need information about those safeguards.

How long we keep information
Enquiry details are kept while Andy responds and handles any follow-up. Records of completed work and payments are kept while needed for customer queries, disputes and applicable tax or accounting duties. Technical website data is retained according to the Cloudflare services and settings used for this site.
